About XOidea

A small studio in Jingdezhen, devoted to porcelain made by hand.

Our pieces have travelled to ateliers, restaurants and private homes across three continents. Every commission begins with a conversation and ends in our kiln.

We work in the city that gave porcelain its name, with kilns that have been firing for over a thousand years. Each XOidea piece is thrown, trimmed, glazed and fired in-house — slow work, by intent.

Our craft
What we make
Tableware for restaurants and private chefs. Commemorative gifts and wedding pieces. Limited-edition collector vessels. Sculptural objects for the home.

Plates, bowls, tea sets and serving vessels designed for restaurants, private chefs and the home table. We work to your exact dimensions, weight, glaze and capacity.

Vases, jars and lidded forms — quiet shapes that hold a room together. Each made one at a time on the wheel and finished in our small-batch palette.

Non-functional pieces for shelves, plinths and entryways. Often the territory we explore most freely, drawing on Jingdezhen tradition with a contemporary hand.

Limited runs of a single design, numbered and signed. Suitable for gift collections, brand collaborations and private commissions.
